Renovations Continue...Volunteers Needed
The next Chrch project is refinishing the wood floor, one side at a time. In this effort, we are looking for parishioners to assist on the following dates:
  • Sunday, July 20 after the 5 PM Mass to remove pews on the left side of the Church
  • Saturday, July 26 to reinstall the pews on the left side of the Church
  • Sunday July, 27 after the 5 PM Mass to remove pews on the right side of the Church 
  • Saturday, August 2 to reinstall the pews on the right side of the Church
Sale of Archdiocese's Nursing Homes Set
The Archdiocese of Philadelphia has announced an agreement of sale with Center Management Group regarding nursing homes operated by Catholic Health Care Services. Click on the link below to read the news release.

PREP Registration Deadline Extended
Registration for the 2014-'15 Parish Religious Education Program (PREP) has been extended to August 1, Marie McGuigan, Director of Religious Education, said. PREP begins for children entering kindergarten or first grade. If you are planning to have your child celebrate First Holy Communion in the second grade, he/she needs to be be registered for PREP in Grade 1. Registration forms can be accessed via the links below. If you have questions, contact Marie at 215-884-4022.

Top Court: Private Firms Can't Be Forced to Cover Contraceptives

In a 5-4 ruling, the Supreme Court on June 30 said closely held companies may be exempted -- under the Religious Freedom Restoration Act --from a government requirement to include contraceptives in employee health insurance coverage as part of the Affordable Care Act.

The role of Catholic Catechists is to teach the Faith of the Catholic Church both by word of mouth and example. This is done through the Immaculate Conception BVM Parish Religious Education Program (PREP) for grades Kindergarten through 7th. Are you called to this role?
