Our May Procession is on May 22nd. As a Parish, we will gather for this unique act of praise in honor of Our Blessed Mother. Our Parish school age children will join together in a procession that evening to celebrate the gift our Blessed Mother is to us and the Church. The children who will receive their first Holy Communion will play a significant role in the evening’s celebration. Practice for singing and the procession will be held on May 5th and May 19th following the 9:30 a.m. Masses in the school cafeteria. There is a Social Sunday on May 19th. We encourage families to visit the Social Sunday and then send the children over to the Cafeteria by 10:45 a.m. This is the second and last rehearsal for the May Procession. At this rehearsal, the May Queen will be chosen. If any 8th grade girl (St. Joseph the Protector, PREP, Private Academy or Home School) would like to be considered as May Queen, submit your name to either Ms. Marie McGuigan or Msgr. Diamond by Friday May 17th. Each girl will select a piece of paper and one slip will name her the May Queen. We hope that many families find this unique effort worthwhile and will participate.
