Immaculate Conception
Liturgical Ministry
A great way to get involved at Immaculate Conception is through Liturgical Ministry--become a Lector, Extraordinary Minister of Holy Communion, Cantor, or part of the Choir.
Read the descriptions below and if you are interested, complete the form on this page. Scheduling is done through an online program which gives lectors and extraordinary ministers their schedules on a quarterly basis, and also emails reminders when scheduled dates are approaching.
Lector
Readers are always needed to proclaim the first and second readings during Sunday Mass. There are lectors for Weekday Masses also. No special training is needed. Lectors for Sunday Masses are given a book each year with the readings listed, so preparation can be done prior to Mass.
Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion
Extraordinary Minister of Holy Communion are used to assist the celebrant at Mass and also to bring the Eucharist to the sick or homebound. Immaculate Conception also serves five area nursing homes, bringing Communion to the residents there once a month. There are many opportunities to help others through this ministry.

Cantor
Music is a key element of the Liturgy. Immaculate has five Masses each weekend, three of which have music. Our Music Director is Vincent Di Francesco. The position of the Cantor is key in inspiring the congregation to participate fully in the Mass. Some music experience is necessary.
ICC Choir
The Immaculate Conception choir is always looking for new members. Presently, there are 10 members with a variety of ages and singing experience. Under Vince's direction, the choir is constanly learning new music. Choir practice is every Wednesday night from 7-8:30 pm from September through mid-May. The choir sings once a month, usually at the 9:30 or 11:30 Masses.

Last year, the choir participated in a Christmas Concert which featured a full orchestra and some added singers.
