Become an Extraordinary Minister of Holy Communion at ICC
It has always been our goal to have as many parishioners as possible experience the privilege of serving as an Extrordinary Minister of Holy Communion.
The most common objection to serving in this capacity is a feeling of unworthiness. Of course, none of us are really worthy to bear Christ in our hands and deliver Him to others. (So if only worthy people performed this task, it wouldn't get done, but it needs to be done.) If we are truly humble, we can accept that fact and serve if we feel called to do so. You are invited to service if you have the following qualifications:
A firm belief and reverance for the Real Presence.
A willingness to serve at assigned Masses and to seek your own substitue when you cannot serve. Scheduling is flexible and done on-line.
An openness to bring the Eucharist to the sick if your schedule can accommodate.
You are a fully initiated Catholic and regularly attend Mass.
You are at least 18 years of age.
If you are married, your marriage is valid in the eyes of the Church.
You are willing to attend a training session at a local parish and a brief, half-day Archdiocesan workshop.
