Serve IC....Various opportunities for adults/high school/college students

Our parish has recently employed high school boys and girls to serve as Sacristans. The sacristan is responsible for ensuring that everything is ready for the celebration of Mass. It sometimes involves opening and closing the church. Currently, we have two adults who serve. If you are a regular at any of our weekend Masses, considering serving as a sacristan. SACRISTANS

We also have a tradition of high school and college students as Kitchen Assistants or suppers on Monday, Thursday, and Saturday. Duties include: setting the table, cleaning pots, loading the dishwasher, and general kitchen cleanup. There is a stipend for this service. We are beginning to recruit grade school and high school students as Altar Servers,

probably our most important ministry. Fathers Dieckhaus, Masluk and I value this ministry. Once you serve one or two Masses with the nicest priests in the diocese, you will enjoy this service!

There will be a new altar serve training on Saturday March 31st at 10:30 am. If you have a son or daughter who is in third grade and above and are interested in serving, please contact Mary Kate Guerin at mkguerin@iccjenkintown.org. Students who have completed eighth grade are encouraged to continuing serving the parish in this important ministry.
